Eloy是一支德国前卫摇滚乐队，音乐风格属于交响摇滚、太空摇滚，一般认为前期偏交响，后期偏太空。尽管是德国乐队，但他们不被认为是Krautrock的风格，而是和英国的那些前卫摇滚、交响前摇乐队类似，比如Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes 和Camel。
乐队的核心是吉他手弗兰克·博恩曼（Frank Bornemann），乐队成立于1969年，时至今日已经经过了很多变动，Bornemann是唯一一直在队内的成员。乐队曾在80年代经历过重大分裂，Bornemann追求商业化的发展方向，但乐队失败了，尽管在此期间依然陆陆续续发表专辑，但是直到94年的《The Tides Return Forever》和98年的《Ocean 2: The Answer》他们才找回自己的根源：经典的前卫交响摇滚。
乐队的名字是这么来的：Bornemann解释道：“乐队名字来自威尔斯的科幻小说《时间机器》。书中描述了800000年后的人类，Eloy是一个当时的一个人种。在时间旅行者的帮助下，Eloy种族有了新的开始。同样的，德国摇滚乐队在60年代后期不演奏他们的歌曲而主要翻弹其他乐队的歌，录制自己的歌很罕见，并且德国乐队被认为是二流的。所以出现一支德国乐队去创造他们自己的歌是很重要的影响，这是未知未来的开端，可以和威尔斯笔下的Eloy种族比较。所以我有了这个主意，叫乐队为Eloy。”
一般认为他们强烈地受到Pink Floyd的影响，但一开始其实是一支硬摇滚乐队。他们后期的特色是大量使用合成器与合唱。
他们的黄金阶段是七十年代中期到八十年代中期，比较知名的专辑有《Dawn》、《Ocean》、《Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes》。
乐队最近一张专辑是2019年发行的《The Vision, the Sword and the Pyre, Part II》。
