西普里安·卡察里斯，法裔塞浦路斯钢琴家及作曲家，1951年5月5日出生于马赛。在喀麦隆接受早期音乐训练后，他进入巴黎音乐学院，师从阿琳·范·巴伦岑和莫妮克·德拉·布鲁肖勒里，1969年获得钢琴专业一等奖，1970年在让·于博的班级中获得室内乐专业一等奖。同年，他荣获阿尔贝·鲁塞尔奖，1974年在齐夫拉比赛中获得一等奖。

Cyprien Katsaris, the French-Cypriot pianist and composer, was born on 5 May 1951 in Marseilles. After early musical training in Cameroon, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire with Aline van Barentzen and Monique de la Bruchollerie, winning premiers prix for piano in 1969 and for chamber music (in the class of Jean Hubeau) in 1970. The same year he won the Prix Albert Roussel, and in 1974 he won first prize in the Cziffra Competition.
