The baroque violinist Anaïs Chen and the harpsichord player Johannes Keller (Duo L’Istante) present a very exciting expedition of searching for the vocal fingerprints in the instrumental music of the 16th and 17th century, which can be found there in a rich variety and in different forms. Masterpieces of very popular composers of this time as well as more unknown composers are combined to a very wide picture of the „vocal way of thinking“ in the instrumental music of this time.

The young artists from Basel are playing together as „Duo L’Istante“ for many years. They give concerts all over the world and received several awards in early music. Specialized in historically informed baroque performance, they always are about to look for new ways and aspects in performing early masterpieces, to question any conventional way of playing but never leaving the basis of the historical context.
